Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the schedule of the playoff matches of the tournament. The final match of the tournament will be played next month on Sunday, May 28. According to expectations, this final match will be played in the biggest cricket stadium. Like last season, once again the winner will be decided at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
In this season of 74 matches, 70 matches are to be played in the league stage between 10 teams. The league round will end on May 21. This will be a double header day. In this, the first match will be between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad, while in the last match of the league round, Royal Challengers Bangalore will face the defending champions Gujarat Titans.

Competition in Ahmedabad and Chennai
After this, 4 matches of the playoffs including the final will be played. It consists of two qualifiers and one eliminator match. In the last season, these matches were played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata and Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad remains intact for this season as well but this time two matches will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The first match in the playoffs will be Qualifier-1, which will be played in Chennai on 23 May. In this, the first and second number teams of the points table will clash. The winning team will directly reach the final. After this, the eliminator match will also be held in Chennai on May 24, which will be between the third and fourth numbered team.
Then on May 26, the winner of the eliminator match will play in the second qualifier. He will face the team that lost in the first qualifier. This match will be held in Ahmedabad. The winning team here will reach the final, which will be played on May 28 in Ahmedabad.
