Lucknow: In a thrilling match, Gujarat Titans defeated Lucknow Super Giants at their own home. At one time it seemed that Lucknow would easily win the match but it did not happen. Gujarat had not set a big target in front of Lucknow. Lucknow needed 136 runs to win. But this team could only score 128 runs and lost the match. Fast bowler Mohit Sharma once again shone in Gujarat’s victory.
This is Lucknow’s second defeat at home. But no one had expected that Lucknow would lose this match. The reason for this was the persistence of KL Rahul. The Lucknow captain kept his feet on the wicket but still could not win the team.

In the last over, Lucknow needed 12 runs to win. Captain KL Rahul was on the wicket, it seemed possible. During his stay, Pandya expressed confidence in Mohit Sharma and gave him the last over. He gave two runs on the first ball of this over. On the second ball, Mohit bowled a short ball which was pulled by Rahul. Felt that the ball would go for a six, but Jayant Yadav, standing at deep fine leg, caught his catch.
Marcus Stoinis also played a great shot on the third ball and this time also felt that it was a six but David Miller standing at long on took his brilliant catch and gave a big blow to Lucknow. showed strength under pressure
The pressure of bowling in the last over is different. Especially in IPL, that too against the team in whose house you are playing. Mohit withstood this pressure very well and bowled with accurate line-length, forcing the Lucknow batsmen to make mistakes. In this match, Mohit spent 17 runs in three overs and took two wickets. He was named player of the match. Also selected.
not the first time
However, Mohit did not do this feat for the first time. Earlier, he has also shown match winning game against Punjab Kings. Mohit made a comeback from this match after two years. He bowled brilliantly in this match. Mohit bowled four overs in this match and spent 18 runs. In these four overs, he took two wickets in his name.
Mohit won the Purple Cap in 2014 while playing with Chennai Super Kings but then he was out for the last two seasons. He got the job of net bowler. This season, Gujarat reposed faith in him and he is living up to this trust.
