Delhi Capitals registered their second consecutive win

New Delhi.Delhi Capitals registered their second consecutive win in IPL 2023 by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad. Delhi beat Hyderabad by 7 runs. In the fire of David Warner’s revenge, all the hopes of Hyderabad’s victory turned to ashes. In fact, Warner was the captain of Hyderabad in 2021, but he was let down by the franchise in the middle of the season, after which he parted ways with Hyderabad.

Now for the first time as captain from Delhi, Warner landed against his old team at his home ground, so he did not let Hyderabad win even the low score match. This is Hyderabad’s third consecutive defeat. Batting first, Delhi scored 144 runs in 20 overs. In response, Hyderabad could only manage 137 runs for 6 wickets.

Mukesh Kumar became a hero

Mayank Agarwal scored the maximum 49 runs from Hyderabad. The clash between the two teams went on till the last ball. Hyderabad needed 13 runs in 6 balls to win in the last over. Washington Sundar was batting aggressively, but Mukesh Kumar bowled tightly in the last over and gave only 5 runs in the last over. Sundar remained unbeaten after scoring 24 runs in 15 balls.

Bhuvi and Sundar’s hard work backfires

Due to this, the bowlers of Hyderabad, while performing amazingly, stopped Delhi Capitals for 144 runs. Delhi looked helpless in front of the balls of Washington Sundar and Bhuveshwar Kumar, but the Hyderabad batsmen destroyed their hard work. Delhi’s Akshar Patel’s bat was able to walk ahead of the Hyderabad bowlers. Bhuvi had given a big blow to Delhi in the form of Phil Salt on the very first ball of the innings. After this wicket, it rained wickets. Mitchell Marsh 25, Captain David Warner 21, Sarfaraz Khan 10 and Aman Khan returned to the pavilion after scoring 4 runs.

Pandey and Akshar handled the innings

After falling 5 wickets for 62 runs, Manish Pandey and Akshar Patel together tried to handle the innings. There was a partnership of 69 runs in 59 balls between the two. Bhuvi broke this partnership by bowling Akshar. Soon after this, Pandey was also out. In the form of Patel, Delhi got the sixth blow for 131 runs, but after that Delhi lost its next 3 wickets for 8 runs. Patel and Pandey both played innings of 34- 34 runs.
