Gill, however, could not last long after scoring a half-century and was dismissed. When Kumar Kartikeya came to bowl on the first ball of the 12th over, Gill wanted to play a big shot on him but he played the ball straight into the hands of Suryakumar Yadav at long on. Gill scored 56 runs in 34 balls with the help of seven fours and a six.

Gujarat has scored a big score in this match. Batting first, Gujarat scored 207 runs losing six wickets in 20 overs. For him, apart from Gill, David Miller scored 46 runs in 22 balls.
