And, finally, on 25 April 2023, he got the good news that he was waiting for. Rahane got a place in Team India for the final of the World Test Championship. This is the fruit of their hard work.

Ajikya Rahane played his last Test for Team India in January last year. After 14 January 2022, he was dropped from the Test team of Team India. The reason behind this was his poor form, which was not visible in the Test series played against South Africa. But, Rahane did not get discouraged in this difficult situation but acted with courage.

Rahane, whose international career was considered over after being dropped from Team India, is now going to wear the Indian jersey again only on the basis of his hard work and performance. The runs that Rahane has scored in domestic cricket, especially in Ranji Trophy and IPL 2023, is the result that his name is now again in Team India.

The right-handed batsman has scored 843 runs in the last 465 days in which he played 16 innings including Ranji and IPL after being dropped from Team India. It is the result of that that he has been selected in Team India. Out of these 843 runs, 634 runs are from his Ranji Trophy while 209 runs were scored in IPL 2023.

Rahane scored 634 runs in the last 11 innings he played in Ranji Trophy. During this, he had scored 2 centuries, in which the biggest score was 204 runs. He has scored these runs at an average of more than 57.

Rahane of Mumbai is currently playing IPL for Chennai Super Kings. And, here also the banner of his name is hoisting. Rahane has scored 209 runs in his 5 innings played in IPL 2023, that too with an unmatched strike rate of 199.04.
