Lucknow: The process of injury of players continues in the IPL 2023 season. Many players have been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. Chennai Super Kings have also been greatly affected by this. Now there is good news for him though. MS Dhoni’s team’s star fast bowler Deepak Chahar has become fit and will play the first match after being out for 24 days. Deepak Chahar is back in the match against Lucknow Super Giants.

Chennai captain MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. During the toss, Dhoni told that Deepak Chahar is fit and has returned to the team in place of Akash Singh. Chahar’s return is expected to give some strength to Chennai’s weak bowling.

Only 3 matches in two seasons

Chennai bought Deepak Chahar in the mega auction for a whopping amount of Rs 14 crore, but he could not play a single match in the last season. He returned fit this season. Chahar played three matches after this. In the third match against Mumbai Indians, he was injured after just one over. Again his hamstring problem had come up.

After this he remained out for the next 6 matches. Although Chahar’s performance was not good before getting injured. He had spent 94 runs in 9 overs and did not get a single wicket in his account. In such a situation, his beginning was very bad. Now he and CSK will only hope that he gets fit and bowls better and plays all the remaining matches.
