New Delhi.The 47th match of IPL 2023 will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Before this match, Nitish Rana’s Kolkata has got a big blow. Wicketkeeper Liton Das is out of IPL 2023. In fact, due to emergency in the family, he had returned home after playing a match, now news is coming that he has been ruled out of the entire tournament.

Liton Das played the only match this season against Delhi Capitals. As his replacement, the world champion was entered in the Kolkata team, who remained out of the team for almost 6 years. After Liton’s exit, Johnson Charles of West Indies has been entered in his place for Rs 50 lakh.

Stayed out of the team for 6 years

Charles was also a member of the West Indies team that won the T20 World Cup in 2012 and 2016. He is the fourth player in the world to return after being out of the team for the longest time in the history of T20 cricket. Charles returned to the West Indies T20 team in 2022 after 6 years and 8 days. After returning to T20 after a long wait, he also scored a maiden century against South Africa in March this year.

Wound given to India

Charles is especially remembered for one of his innings. Hardly any cricket lover of India can forget one of his stormy innings. He broke India’s dream in the semi-finals of the 2016 T20 World Cup. Charles played a stormy inning of 52 runs off 36 balls. On the basis of his innings, the West Indies had defeated India by 7 wickets and thrown them out of the World Cup.
