New Delhi. The whole world waits for the high voltage contest between India and Pakistan. Actually both the teams are face to face only in the ICC tournament. This year also a contest is to be played between the two. This match has become even more high-voltage due to this, because Pakistan will play on Indian soil. The ODI World Cup will be played in the hosting of India. That means after a long time both will clash on Indian soil. For the first time after 2016, India will challenge Pakistan at home.

BCCI is also doing special planning for this high voltage match. According to the Indian Express, the match between India and Pakistan can be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, as the capacity of this stadium is close to 1 lakh and the board is hopeful that fans from abroad will also come to India for this match.

Schedule announced after IPL

BCCI has not yet announced the schedule of the World Cup. After the end of IPL 2023, the board will announce the schedule. But work is going on fast on this. The final of IPL, one of the world’s biggest cricket leagues, was played in Ahmedabad on 28th May. According to the report, if everything goes according to the schedule, then the tournament will start on 5 October.

Pakistan will play in Bangalore and Chennai!

Nagpur, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Rajkot, Indore and Dharamshala have been shortlisted for World Cup matches. Pakistan can play most of its matches in Bengaluru and Chennai due to security reasons.

Threatened to withdraw from the World Cup

However, the situation regarding the arrival of the Pakistani team to India for this World Cup has not been cleared yet. In fact, BCCI Secretary Jai Shah had made it clear that the Indian team will not go to Pakistan for the Asia Cup. After this, the officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board also started threatening to withdraw from the World Cup.
