Kolkata: Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana, playing in his home, scored a half-century against Punjab Kings while batting brilliantly. His innings came when the team was in dire need, but after scoring the captain’s half-century, the odd shot was dismissed on the next ball. Batting first in this match, Punjab scored 179 runs losing seven wickets in 20 overs.
Kolkata got a smooth start. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Jason Roy shared a 38-run partnership for the first wicket. Gurbaj was dismissed for 19 runs on the first ball of the fifth over, while Jason Roy was dismissed on the second ball of the eighth over.
