New Delhi. Shikhar Dhawan’s bat thundered again after a month. He tore apart the bowlers of Kolkata Knight Riders in the 53rd match of IPL 2023. Punjab Kings captain Dhawan hit Fifty in 41 balls. This is his third fifty of this season. It is also interesting that in 40 balls, Dhawan scored 48 runs by hitting 9 fours. Not a single six came out of his bat, but he completed his fifty by hitting a six off Sunil Narine.
Dhawan had put his second fifty of the season a month ago. He had hit 2 consecutive half-centuries. He was unbeaten on 99 against Sunrajers Hyderabad. After an inning of 99 runs, his form got derailed a bit. Not only this, due to being unfit, he could not even play some matches. When he returned, he could not reach above 30 runs in 3 matches. Now, ending the wait, he hit a half-century.

Responsibility on Dhawan’s shoulder
Dhawan has taken care of Punjab’s batting. Opener Prabhsimran Singh is continuously flopping. In the middle order too, Livingston and Jitesh Sharma played one or two good innings, but apart from them no other batsman is able to walk.
