In response, the Delhi team could only score 140 runs losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Chennai won by 27 runs. This is CSK’s 7th win this season.

With this win, Chennai are still at number two in the points table but the place in the playoffs is still not confirmed. While the road has become more difficult for Delhi, but still it is not formally out of the race for the playoffs.
