New Delhi: After all, what was feared happened. Jofra Archer is out of IPL 2023. England’s fast bowler Chris Jordan will now replace him in Mumbai Indians. The speculation about Archer’s ouster started only when Jordan’s team was entered. But, now this news has been confirmed.
In IPL 2023, Mumbai Indians have played 10 matches so far, in which Archer has been able to play only in 5 matches. He missed most of the opening matches for Mumbai Indians, about which a report later revealed that he had gone to Belgium for treatment. Although Archer had denied that report, but now after his exit from IPL 2023, the reality has come to the fore.

Archer’s lackluster performance in IPL 2023
Jofra Archer played his last match in IPL 2023 for Mumbai Indians against Chennai Super Kings on 6 May. This match was played at Chepauk, in which Archer remained wicketless. By the way, in the 5 matches played this season, his bowling never came close to his ability. In the 5 matches he played in the 16th season, he could only take 2 wickets.
Archer will start preparing to be fit before the Ashes
The England Cricket Board was constantly keeping an eye on Jofra Archer’s injury. The reason behind his move is also a big Test series like the upcoming Ashes. England would like Archer to be fit before the Ashes series. That is why after being out of IPL 2023, he has a plan to go straight to England to rehab.
