IPL 2023, KKR vs RR 55th Match: In the 55th match of IPL 2023, Rajasthan Royals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 9 wickets at their own home ground Eden Gardens. Kolkata scored 149 runs while batting first. In response, Rajasthan achieved the target in 13.1 overs. Yashasvi played an unbeaten inning of 98 runs in 47 balls. He hit 12 fours and 5 sixes. Sanju Samson remained unbeaten after scoring 48 runs. Which included 5 sixes and 2 fours. Kolkata bowlers could not get a single wicket. Rajasthan’s head fell by one wicket, in which Jos Buttler was run out without opening the account. But after that Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal did not give any chance to the KKR bowlers and thrashed them fiercely.

Yashasvi’s brilliant innings

The hero of the match was the young opener of Rajasthan Royals, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who missed the century by just 2 runs. But before that Jaiswal scored the fastest half-century in IPL history. Yashasvi touched the figure of 50 runs in just 13 balls. Yashasvi had hit 26 runs in the very first over.

Kolkata innings

Kolkata, batting first, gave Rajasthan a target of 150 runs to win. The team scored 149 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. During this, Venkatesh Iyer scored a half-century. He scored 57 runs in 42 balls. Yuzvendra Chahal bowled brilliantly for Rajasthan and took 4 wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs. Trent Boult also took 2 wickets, while Sandeep Sharma got a breakthrough. Because of this, the Kolkata team could score only 149 runs after losing 8 wickets.
